【約書亞記16:1-10】
1 約瑟的子孫拈鬮所得之地是從靠近耶利哥的約但河起，以耶利哥東邊的水為界：從耶利哥上去，通過山地的曠野，到伯特利；【NIV】The allotment for Joseph began at the Jordan, east of the springs of Jericho, and went up from there through the desert into the hill country of Bethel.
2 又從伯特利到路斯，接連到亞基人的境界，至亞他綠；
【NIV】It went on from Bethel (that is, Luz), crossed over to the territory of the Arkites in Ataroth,
3 又往西下到押利提人的境界，到下伯和崙的境界，直到基色，通到海為止。
【NIV】descended westward to the territory of the Japhletites as far as the region of Lower Beth Horon and on to Gezer, ending at the Mediterranean Sea.
4 約瑟的兒子瑪拿西、以法蓮就得了他們的地業。
【NIV】So Manasseh and Ephraim, the descendants of Joseph, received their inheritance.
5 以法蓮子孫的境界，按著宗族所得的，記在下面：他們地業的東界是亞他綠亞達到上伯和崙；【NIV】This was the territory of Ephraim, according to its clans: The boundary of their inheritance went from Ataroth Addar in the east to Upper Beth Horon
6 往西通到北邊的密米他，又向東繞到他納示羅，又接連到雅挪哈的東邊；
【NIV】and continued to the Mediterranean Sea. From Mikmethath on the north it curved eastward to Taanath Shiloh, passing by it to Janoah on the east.
7 從雅挪哈下到亞他綠，又到拿拉，達到耶利哥，通到約但河為止；
【NIV】Then it went down from Janoah to Ataroth and Naarah, touched Jericho and came out at the Jordan.
8 從他普亞往西，到加拿河，直通到海為止。這就是以法蓮支派按著宗族所得的地業。【NIV】From Tappuah the border went west to the Kanah Ravine and ended at the Mediterranean Sea. This was the inheritance of the tribe of the Ephraimites, according to its clans.
9 另外在瑪拿西人地業中得了些城邑和屬城的村莊。這都是分給以法蓮子孫的。
【NIV】It also included all the towns and their villages that were set aside for the Ephraimites within the inheritance of the Manassites.
10 他們沒有趕出住基色的迦南人；迦南人卻住在以法蓮人中間，成為做苦工的僕人，直到今日。【NIV】They did not dislodge the Canaanites living in Gezer; to this day the Canaanites live among the people of Ephraim but are required to do forced labor.
烤蕃薯重點區: 祖先的敬虔信仰會成為傳承給後代的禮物，帶給祖孫豐盛的祝福。約瑟雖然被哥哥賣到埃及且經歷重重苦楚，卻因為敬畏神，蒙神祝福。基督徒對神的敬畏與順服，能成為讓子孫得享神祝福的基礎。
除了迦勒趕出亞納族的三個族長以外，以色列各之派都沒有徹底趕出他們的仇敵。連強大的以法蓮也同樣沒有把住基色的迦南人趕逐出去，而只是制伏了基色的居民，強迫他們進貢，讓他們做苦工的僕人，卻因此種下了未來不安的種子。
